Creating My Film opening

Creating my Film Opening

I started to film my film opening on two separate occasions, I carried out a risk assessment to make sure it was a suitable place to film, From doing research on other film openings and looking at different shots used and planning what shots i wanted to get it made filming a lot easier due to planning. When filming the start of my film opening i used a tripod and a dolly to help film and make the camera steady with smooth movements. When Filming the dancing scenes i used a dolly to help keep the camera extra steady and make all tracking movement smooth. I done this as i felt with fast heavy dance movement might cause the tripod and camera to shake.

After filming my footage i had a variety of shots and more then enough footage. I then uploaded it to 'Final cut express' to start editing and include my titles and music.

I started to cut my footage down to the stuff i wanted to include and place them in chronological order.  From previously creating a story board with titles included it made it a lot easier to include the titles to my final piece.

Once i had included all my titles and edited it i started to add my music and sound.

Their are two pieces of music in my film opening that are very contrasting. The music i used came from 'Lglf audio network' and 'garage band'. I had two pieces of contrasting music as i wanted it to have a effect on the audience. I wanted the music to reflect the mood felt in the scene so i was using music as a leif motif. At the start it start a sad ambient music to show the emotion of the main character Johnny. When he then arrives at school which is his escape from a unhappy home his mood changes as he feels safe and he also then notices the dancing. This is when he becomes interested in dance and he is fascinated with it.
